Hi, I'm rebecca!
I am the face behind High West Wild. I am an illustrator and freelance designer living in Portland, Oregon. My illustrations are inspired from a nostalgic lens of my childhood memories in the bluegrass state of Kentucky, and later in life, the mountains and woods of Washington State, and the high deserts of Northern Nevada. The color palettes I primarily use are influenced by the earthy tones of the 1970s and the vibrant colors and the crisp smells of autumn in the Pacific Northwest.
From my love of vintage textiles and illustrations, scientific botanical art, and the groovy typography of the 60s and 70s, I illustrate my interpretation of flora and fauna to create my own imaginary botanicals. I advocate for many voices with my work, including the flora and fauna of our natural environment, those looking for equality and equity in social and political spheres, with the encouragement of being kind to yourself and others. I want the viewer to feel a love for nature, kindness, and a nostalgia for design in my illustrations.

For some countries, import fees may apply, and these are the responsibility of the customer.

Because every print is specially made to order for you and fulfilled by a trusted printing partner, there's only a short window of time to make changes once your order is placed. If you realize you selected the wrong size, please contact me within 8 hours of placing your order, and I’ll do my best to catch it before it goes to print.
I’m unable to offer exchanges or returns for sizing mistakes, so please be sure to read the description and any size charts provided carefully before ordering. If you're unsure which size is right for your space, feel free to reach out — I’m happy to help!
Once the carrier marks an order as delivered, it’s considered fulfilled on our end. Unfortunately, we are not responsible for stolen or missing packages after delivery.
We recommend double-checking with neighbors, your local post office, or anyone in your household who might have received it. In some cases, packages are scanned early and arrive within a day or two.
If your package is missing, you may be able to file a claim with the shipping carrier. Please reach out if you need any information from our end to help with that process.
To avoid using plastic caps, art prints are shipped in sturdy, triangular cardboard boxes.
To flatten for framing, protect the print by covering it with paper or cloth, and lay it flat with a heavy book on top of the print for 24 hours. You may also wrap the print in the reverse direction of the roll for 24 hours.
Unfortunately, we are unable to add personalized notes to your packages at this time.
Every apparel item in my shop is printed just for you when you place an order. That means there’s no warehouse, no stockroom, and no shelf full of returns, just one small studio working with a sustainable print-on-demand partner. Because of this model, I’m not able to offer full refunds or free exchanges if a shirt doesn’t fit or isn’t quite what you expected.
I wish I could, but reprints and returns come out of my own pocket, and I can’t resell worn or printed garments. It’s part of the cost of keeping things small, slow, and intentional.
To help avoid disappointment, please check the sizing chart carefully before placing your order and reach out with questions. I’m always happy to help you decide on the right fit.
Thank you for supporting small artists and sustainable practices; your purchase keeps this studio running.
